Friday, Fun Day

Do you know why Friday is so wonderful? Because it means I get to stay up late crocheting since I don’t have to wake up early in the morning! I jest. Who am I kidding? I am lucky if I can stay up till eleven. The idea is nice though and I absolutely could if I wanted to.

Speaking of getting up early on a weekend…

I saw a post in a Facebook group that I belong to that drew my attention. It was a picture of a woman’s living room completely covered with yarn. She’d been out to yard sales and landed something like 230 skeins of yarn for something crazy like $30 USD. I thought to myself, self, you need that to happen in your life. However, it is much like the lottery. You have to play to win and I don’t play. I also do not wake up early enough on Saturdays to ever get to a yard sale. I’ll dream about t though and I’ll certainly envy that woman from a distance.

I do actually need to wake up at a decent time tomorrow because I’ll start refilming the Virus Meets Granny Shawl tomorrow. I spend this evening frogging the one I had started for the project. Now, because I used Lion Brand Mandala yarn for the project I have several balls of yarn. I can’t handle abrupt color changes in the middle of rows so I am a cutter. I know, it bothers some people and yes I know it’s supposed to be the charm of it but I’m far too OCD to deal with it. I just can’t.

In truth I really don’t like a color change being in the middle of a virus section or a granny section. I didn’t care for it in the one I was making for the project so that is another silver lining of having to redo the project. I’ll get to make it as I like. By cutting!

For tonight though I’ll continue on with my random free style crochet something or other I started the other night after my melt down while binging The Walking Dead. The series 8 premier is here on Saturday so my family has plans to watch from episode one this weekend. We’re currently on Season 2 episode 2 and we started last night. I don’t think we’re going to make it. I know I won’t since most of tomorrow will be spent filming. We shall see though.
